The staff not only lacks skilled training, they are void of compassion for the patients needs and comfort in general. Contracting with a pharmacy located in Lynchburg rather than Roanoke puts the patients at risk when the medications are not delivered in a timely manner. While there, I had to wait until 11 pm on the first day for my meds and was in excruciating pain from a knee replacement surgery 3 days prior to entry there. They hire nurses from agencies rather than having full time staff caring for patients which would ensure more knowledgeable and professional staffing. While there, I called out continually, while coughing, for help to be told there was nothing wrong by those "skilled (?)" nurses as well as the physician they called to examine me.
I went close to 24 hours with a certain med, same as my roommate. One man here, bitten by brown recluse spiders. If you look for office personnel, as a whole, do not call. Therapy department, very little,as in equipment.
Initially, after reading the reviews we had decided to try and move both of them to another facility. We arrived late Saturday evening (Oct. 8)) and did not smell any odors and it was very clean. We were there daily for 4 days, visiting not just one family member but two.
Mason and his team made it happen seamlessly and my father in law had the best experience and still is taking about his time there. He said the staff was friendly and very helpful. We definitely would choose them again if ever the need would arise. The apartment comprises 2 spacious bedrooms, including a master bedroom ensuite and a smaller bedroom with 2 single beds that can be put together to create a double bed also ensuite.
