Pet-friendly hotel near University of Florida and museums
I stayed at this hotel for 7 nights during Aug 2022. For the majority of that time the shower malfunctioned only providing boiling hot water. Maintenance 'fixed' it but that lasted for 1 shower before it reverted to the same problem. A 2nd request for maintenance was never answered. I eventually asked to be moved to another room which was much better thankfully. Not the standard I would expect from a Hilton property.
I was staying at the Hamptonn and was not satisfied, I stopped by and Markeisha gave us a mini tour . I felt Welcomed at the hotel and customer service was excellent and I am super picky as I have to stay for couple weeks. The hotel has a high quality of pleasing the customers. They try to have the room early and maintain a high level of cleanliness. They have brought back the best breakfast in town.

We did have a loud air conditioner which was not only fixed but replaced within 30 minutes of calling. We stay here whenever we are in Gainesville.

Garbage from previous guests wasn’t empty. The room could’ve been much much cleaner especially arriving at 10pm. Yes, pets are typically allowed, but it's always best to call ahead to confirm. As you walked to our 3rd floor room the hallway carpet was dirty with large ripped areas, unbelievable that this has not been fixed since it poses a huge liability. Carpets were dirty and stained throughout the hotel and in our room. On first night we ran out of toilet paper since each bathroom was only stocked with one almost empty roll.
